[영상뉴스] 삼성 갤럭시 'AI'로 무장

삼성전자는 10일 프랑스 파리에서 열린 '갤럭시 언팩 2024' 행사에서 갤럭시 Z플립6과 갤럭시 Z폴드6을 공개했다. 

이번 신제품은 갤럭시에스24의 인공지능(AI) 기능을 접목해 통·번역 기능을 대폭 강화했다. 

주요 기능으로는 듀얼 스크린을 활용한 실시간 번역 및 대화 모드, 다양한 메시지 앱에서 사용 가능한 실시간 통역, PDF 오버레이 번역, 그리고 키워드 기반 글쓰기 기능이 포함되었다. 

Z폴드6은 전작 대비 두께가 1.3mm 줄고 무게가 239g으로 14g 가벼워졌으며, Z플립6은 배터리 용량이 300㎃h (밀리암페어시) 증가했다. 

샤오미 등 경쟁사들이 출시 일정을 앞당기는 등 시장 경쟁이 치열해지는 가운데, 삼성전자는 이번 신제품을 통해 폴더블폰 시장에서의 우위를 강화하겠다는 의지를 보였다.

Samsung Electronics unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 at the 'Galaxy Unpacked 2024' event held in Paris, France, on the 10th. 

The new products integrate AI features from the Galaxy S24 to significantly enhance translation and interpretation functions. 

Key features include real-time translation and conversation mode utilizing dual screens, real-time interpretation available in various messaging apps, PDF overlay translation, and keyword-based writing functionality. 

The Z Fold6 is 1.3mm thinner and 14g lighter at 239g compared to its predecessor, while the Z Flip6 has an increased battery capacity of 300mAh. 

Amid intense market competition, with rivals like Xiaomi moving up their release schedules, Samsung aims to strengthen its dominance in the foldable phone market with these new products.
