[뉴스와이] 중국네티즌 부글부글, 백종원 '대도둑'?

넷플릭스의 인기 프로그램  ‘흑백요리사’가 뜨거운 화제를 모으면서, 그 중심에 서 있는 정지선 셰프의 대표 메뉴인 ‘빠쓰’가 새로운 논란의 씨앗이 되었다. 

최근 중국 SNS에서는 “한국이 빠쓰를 자기 것으로 주장한다”는 주장이 퍼지며, 이와 함께 심사위원 백종원씨를 “대도둑”이라 칭하는 목소리가 커지고 있다. 이러한 반응은 그 자체로 한 편의 코미디 같지만, 사실은 더욱 복잡한 맥락을 지니고 있다. 

중국의 일부 네티즌들은 백종원 유튜브 채널의 영상을 악의적으로 편집하여 왜곡된 주장을 펼치고 있으며, 이는 흑백요리사가 중국 내에서 방영되지 않기 때문으로 분석된다. 

많은 ‘도우인’(중국판 틱톡) 사용자들이 불법적으로 업로드된 영상을 통해 잘못된 정보에 노출되었고, 그 결과 왜곡된 인식이 확산하고 있다. 이와 관련해 한국의 네티즌들은 “도둑 시청하는 주제에 가짜 뉴스 퍼트리지 마라”와 같은 비난의 목소리를 내고 있으며, “뺏긴 뭘 뺏냐”는 반응을 보이며 분노를 표출하고 있다. 

그들의 주장은 단순히 요리 하나에 대한 논란을 넘어서, 문화적 정체성과 역사적 배경이 얽힌 복잡한 문제로 이어지고 있다. 

요리는 단순한 음식 이상의 의미를 지닌다. 각국의 전통과 정체성이 담긴 요리들은 그 자체로 문화유산으로 여겨지며, 이러한 논란은 단순히 빠쓰의 출처를 두고 벌어지는 것이 아니다. 

한국과 중국의 문화적 교류가 이루어지는 가운데, 이런 갈등은 더욱더 심화할 가능성이 있다. 과연 우리는 이러한 문화적 논란을 어떻게 해소할 수 있을까? 서로 다른 문화를 이해하고 존중하는 태도가 필요한 시점이다. 

흑백요리사가 보여준 요리의 매력은 결국 요리를 매개로 한 소통과 이해의 가능성에서 비롯되기 때문이다. 문화는 나누고 공유하는 것이며, 그 과정에서 발생하는 갈등 또한 소통을 통해 풀어 나가야 할 숙제다. 

결국, 이번 논란은 단순한 요리의 문제를 넘어, 한중 양국 간의 문화적 이해와 소통을 재고하게 만드는 계기가 되어야 할 것이다.

Controversy Over ‘Bats’ in Black and White Chef, Sparking Reactions on Chinese Social Media.

The Netflix hit series Black and White Chef has stirred up significant attention, with the spotlight falling on Chef Jeong Ji-sun's signature dish, ‘bats.’ 

Recently, reactions on Chinese social media have erupted, claiming that “Korea is asserting bats as its own,” along with labeling judge Baek Jong-won as a “big thief.” 

While these reactions might sound almost comedic, they are rooted in a more complex context. Some Chinese netizens have maliciously edited videos from Baek Jong-won’s YouTube channel to push distorted claims, a phenomenon that can be traced back to the show not being aired in China. 

Many ‘Douyin’ (the Chinese version of TikTok) users have been exposed to incorrect information through illegally uploaded videos, leading to a proliferation of misunderstandings. 

In response, Korean netizens have expressed their outrage, voicing sentiments such as “Don’t spread fake news while illegally watching,” and “What is being stolen?” 

Their outcry goes beyond a simple culinary debate, touching upon deeper issues of cultural identity and historical context. Cuisine embodies more than just food; it carries the essence of tradition and identity. 

The culinary practices of each country are regarded as cultural heritage, and such controversies reflect not only the origins of a dish but also the complexities inherent in cultural exchanges between Korea and China. 

As we consider how to resolve these cultural disputes, it becomes clear that understanding and respecting diverse cultures is essential. The charm of Black and White Chef ultimately lies in its ability to foster communication and understanding through food. 

Culture is meant to be shared, and the conflicts that arise in this process must be addressed through dialogue. 

In the end, this controversy should serve as an opportunity to rethink cultural understanding and communication between Korea and China.
